What are the different types of Recreation Centers in The Villages?

There are three different types of recreation centers. The largest type of Rec Center is the Regional Rec Center. These types of centers are spaced throughout The Villages. These centers have multiple meeting rooms, arts and crafts room, ball room, sports pool, and a large variety of outdoor activities. What's a sports pool? Check out my other video on the different types of pools in The Villages! Each Regional Rec Center is themed. From the Antebellum style of Laurel rec center, to the military style of Eisenhower rec center, to the seaside style of Sea Breeze, the interiors of the regional rec centers are beautiful and well designed. Regional rec centers host a variety of unique recreation activities such as table shuffle board and remote control car racing. Another type of Rec Center is the Village Rec Center. These centers have meeting rooms, a card room, a billiard hall, kitchen, family pool, and outdoor courts for racket sports. Not all Villages have their own Village Rec Center. Those centers are located centrally, with several surrounding villages. Finally the most numerous type of rec center in The Villages is the Neighborhood Rec area. While these areas don't have a center, per se, they consist of a postal facility, adult pool, bocce court, shuffleboard court, and a horseshoe pit. Some of the newer neighborhood areas also have a few pickleball courts. Life in The Villages is often described as an "active lifestyle". Recreation centers are a large part of that active lifestyle! When you move here, familiarize yourself with the neighborhood area, Village Rec Center, and Regional Rec Center that are closest to your new home!
