Which are the utility companies in The Villages? The Villages spans over three counties: Marion, Sumter, and Lake counties. The utility company you use depends on where in The Villages you live. For the entire Villages, however, The Villages Utility Department bills monthly for water, sewer, trash, and the monthly amenity fee. Villages Utility Department offers auto pay directly from your bank or, if you want to pay by check, there are dedicated mail slots at the mail stations throughout The Villages to pay your bill. We have a two-bedroom, two-bath cottage home in the middle of The Villages and our water, irrigation, sewage, trash and amenity fee averages $250 to $275 monthly. The electric company that serves the majority of The Villages is SECO energy. It serves all but the most northern portions of The Villages. In the northern areas, Duke energy is the company for electricity. Our SECO electric bill ranges from $80 to $125 per month. As for natural gas, which is not available in all areas of The Villages, is typically provided by TECO People's Gas company. Some of the newest areas in the south use the new gas company, South Sumter Gas Company. We use natural gas for our water heater only. Our monthly bill typically runs $40 each month. Finally, the most common cable company is Xfinity, your monthly bill depends on how many channels you have and whether you have internet services through them as well. Our internet and cable service runs us around $150 per month. I have included the websites for all the companies I've mentioned in this video in the description below.
